Petzyn

Terms of Use

Last updated 4 September 2026

Plain terms for a small product. If something here is unclear, write to us before agreeing to it rather than after.

1. Agreeing to these terms

Petzyn is operated from Brazil and offered to people who own pets. By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account — and if you already have one, you can close it at any time and these terms stop applying to anything you do afterwards.

2. Your account

You sign in with an email address, either by code or through Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that address, because whoever controls it can sign in. One account belongs to one person; you may add as many pets as your plan allows. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country — in Brazil, eighteen, or sixteen with assistance.

3. Photos and stories you upload

Your photos and your writing stay yours. You give Petzyn permission to store them and to process them for one purpose only: producing the comics and clips you ask for. That permission covers sending them to the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy, because that is how the drawing happens. It does not extend to advertising, to training anyone's models, or to showing your pet to other people. You must have the right to upload what you upload.

4. What Petzyn draws for you

The comics and clips Petzyn produces are yours to use however you like, including commercially, and that licence survives your account being closed. Everything Petzyn produces is generated by artificial intelligence from your photos and your text — it is an illustration, not a photograph, and it will differ from reality in ways that are sometimes the point and sometimes a mistake. We cannot promise that two people asking for similar things will not receive similar output. Work made with a coupon is yours on exactly the same terms; the only thing you agree to on top is stated on the screen where you redeem it, which is that we may reshow that work on our own channels with credit to you.

5. Pets, not people

Petzyn is for animals. Do not upload photographs that are primarily of human faces, including your own or a child's. This is a deliberate limit rather than a technical one: generating likenesses of people carries obligations Petzyn is not built to meet. Accounts that repeatedly upload human faces may be suspended.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Petzyn to depict real people, to produce content that is sexual, hateful, violent towards animals, or illegal, or to impersonate anyone. Do not attempt to extract the underlying models or resell access to the service. We can suspend an account that does these things, and we would rather tell you why than not.

7. Credits and plans

Work is priced in credits, which broadly track what a rendition costs to produce. A plan grants credits on a schedule; top-up packs are one-off purchases that expire twelve months after they are bought. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not refundable once spent on a rendition that was produced. Nothing is charged and no credits are spent until you approve a storyboard.

8. If prices change

Prices can change. A change reaches an existing subscriber at their next billing cycle — the next month, or the next year — never mid-period, and we will tell you before it takes effect, as Brazilian consumer law requires for a continuing contract. You are free to cancel before the new price applies. Nobody is silently kept on an old price and nobody is silently moved to a new one.

9. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from inside the app. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and what you have already made remains yours. If you are in Brazil, the Consumer Protection Code gives you seven days from purchase to withdraw from a distance contract and receive a refund; where you have already spent credits on renditions we produced, we may deduct their value. Write to us and a person will handle it.

10. Album storage, and what happens if you go over

Every plan includes an amount of storage for the photos and videos you upload yourself — the figure is on the plans page and inside the app. Anything Petzyn makes for you does not count towards it. If your album ends up holding more than your plan includes — most often after moving to a smaller plan or cancelling — nothing is deleted at that moment. You can still view, download and share everything; you simply cannot add anything new until it fits. You have 365 days to sort it out, by deleting what you no longer want or moving to a larger plan, and we email you twice: when the period starts and thirty days before it ends. After that we remove the oldest items until the album fits the plan the account is actually on. Anything in the trash goes first and anything you marked as a favourite goes last. We remove only as much as is needed to fit — the rest stays yours. We recommend downloading anything irreplaceable before the date given in the notice.

11. Availability, and what we do not promise

Petzyn is offered as it is. We work to keep it running and to keep your work safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular rendering time, or that any given story will come out the way you imagined. AI generation fails sometimes; when a rendition fails through our fault, we return the credits.

12. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Petzyn is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including under the Consumer Protection Code, whose protections apply to you in full regardless of anything in this document.

13. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we will say so by email and on this page before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Petzyn after that means accepting the new version. The date at the top of this page is always the date of the version you are reading.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Consumer disputes may be brought in the court where the consumer lives, which is a right the Consumer Protection Code gives you and which this clause does not attempt to remove.
