About Petzyn
Petzyn exists because the years go faster for them than for us, and because the small things — the stolen sock, the 6am zoomies, the face after a bath — are the first ones to fade.
You already tell their stories
Nobody has to be taught this. You give your dog a voice at the dinner table. You narrate the cat's opinion of the vacuum cleaner. You argue with the cockatiel and answer for the rabbit. You tell everyone what happened while they were out, and you do the accent. Petzyn just draws what you were already saying.
The small things are the ones that go first
You will remember the big days without any help. What slips away is the ordinary stuff — where they used to sleep, the noise they made when you came home, the completely unreasonable thing they did with a sock on a Tuesday. Those are worth keeping, and a photograph does not quite hold them. A story does.
It has to look like your animal
A generic cartoon animal is not your animal, and it is not worth keeping. So before anything is drawn, Petzyn studies your photos and works out what your animal actually looks like — the ears, the markings, that one specific face they make. Every panel then refers back to it, so they stay themselves from the first frame to the last.
One place for all their stuff
Their profile, their photos, their birthday, and everything you have made — together, per pet, instead of scattered through a camera roll with four thousand other pictures. Keeping an animal comes with a surprising amount of admin, and Petzyn is growing into that side of it too.
It stays together, and it stays yours
Every comic and every clip lives in your library, one pet at a time, for as long as you want it there. You write in your own words, you read the story before it becomes a drawing, and you change anything that came out wrong. What Petzyn makes is yours — print it, frame it, send it to the person who was there. Your photos stay private, and if you ever want all of it gone, it goes.
