Privacy Policy

Petzyn is responsible for the personal data described here, and decides what happens to it. Questions, requests and complaints go to admin@petzyn.com and are answered by a person.

Your email address and your name. Your pets: their name, species, birthday, and the photographs you upload. What you write — the stories, and the storyboards you edit. What Petzyn produces from those. Your language and currency, chosen once at signup. Your plan, credit balance and the ledger of what each credit was spent on. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; Petzyn stores a customer identifier and never sees your card.

Most of it is processed to run the service you signed up for — we cannot draw your pet without your pet's photographs. Billing records are kept to meet legal and tax obligations. Anything outside those, such as marketing email, happens only with consent you give separately and can withdraw.

Photographs are stored privately and are never public by default. EXIF metadata is stripped the moment a photo is uploaded, before it is stored — pet photographs are usually taken at home and routinely carry GPS coordinates, which is a far more sensitive thing to keep than the picture itself. The stripping is tested, not assumed. Petzyn is for animals: photographs that are primarily of human faces are outside what the product accepts.

Producing a comic means sending your material to specialists. Anthropic receives your story text and a written description of your pet, to write and adapt the script. fal.ai receives image prompts and reference images, to draw the panels. A text-to-speech provider receives the narration lines. Supabase hosts the database and authentication; Cloudflare R2 stores photographs and finished artwork; Stripe processes payments; Resend delivers the sign-in emails; PostHog receives the usage measurement described in section 9 — never photographs, never the text of your stories, never your name or address. Each is bound by a data processing agreement, and none of them is permitted to use your material to train their own models.

Several of those providers operate outside Brazil, mainly in the United States and the European Union, so your data is transferred internationally. Where that happens it is because the transfer is necessary to run the service for you, and each provider is bound by contract terms covering how they handle it.

Your material is kept while your account exists. Deleting a pet or a story removes it from every screen immediately. A full account deletion is a hard delete: the database rows, the original photographs, the character sheets and every finished comic and clip are removed from storage, not merely hidden. Billing records are the exception and are retained for the period tax law requires. Ask at admin@petzyn.com and we will confirm when it is done. One exception to 'while your account exists': if the album stays over its plan's storage limit for more than 365 days we remove the oldest items until it fits, after two emailed notices — see clause 10 of the Terms of Use.

You can ask what data we hold, get a copy of it in a portable form, correct anything wrong, ask for deletion, ask who it has been shared with, and withdraw any consent you gave. You can also object to a particular use. Write to admin@petzyn.com; we answer within fifteen days, and if we cannot do what you asked we will say why rather than go quiet.

The product app sets cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language. There is no advertising tracking, and nothing here follows you around other sites. We do measure the use of Petzyn itself, to find out where people get stuck: a story written, a comic approved, a plan subscribed to. That measurement is sent from our server rather than from your browser, and it is labelled with the same internal account code we already use — no name, no address, no photographs, and none of the text of your stories. The tool is PostHog, listed in section 5. This marketing site still sets no cookies at all: it counts how many people read each page, using an identifier that exists only while the tab is open and is never written to your browser. And the contact form is unchanged: what you write in it becomes an email to admin@petzyn.com and is stored nowhere on this site.

Petzyn is not directed at children and accounts require an adult. If you believe a child has created an account or that a child's photographs have been uploaded, tell us and we will remove the data.

If this policy changes materially — a new subprocessor, a new purpose — we will say so by email and update the date at the top of this page before the change takes effect.
