The drawing is not made from the photo every time. Petzyn studies the animal once, keeps that, and every panel after it refers back to the same study — which is why they do not change face halfway through a story.
How it works
Three steps, and one of them is the point
There is no prompt to learn. You tell Petzyn about your pet once, then write the way you would tell a friend.

Add your pet
A few photos and a name. Petzyn works out what your pet actually looks like and draws a character sheet from it — which is why the same dog turns up in every story instead of a different dog each time.

Write what happened
In your own words. The vet visit, the stolen sock, the thing they do at 6am. No format to follow and no prompt to get right.

Approve the script
You read the storyboard and edit the lines before a single panel is drawn. If the story came out wrong, fixing it costs nothing.
That third step is the one other tools skip. Drawing is the expensive part, so Petzyn spends a fraction of a cent on writing first — and never spends your credits on a version of the story you would have rejected.

Twelve seconds that actually move
A real Studio clip, nothing trimmed. Nothing here is a held panel: every shot is generated as video, out of a drawing of the dog itself.
- Generated video, shot by shot
- Each shot runs four seconds and is generated as video: the dog walks, the tail goes, the ears fly. Then it is hard-cut together, the way short video is cut.
- Still your dog
- The motion is generated out of the drawing of your pet, never out of a written sentence. Asking for a running dachshund gets you some dachshund; starting from the drawing gets you yours.
- Written in English from the start
- This clip is not the Portuguese one with the soundtrack swapped. The same story in Portuguese is a separate script, with its own panels and its own voice — each language is written, drawn and narrated on its own.
Moving video is on the Studio plan, runs up to twenty seconds, and is the most expensive thing Petzyn makes. Every other plan makes the motion comic above.
The album
Where the rest of their life is kept
The comics are what Petzyn makes. The album is what it keeps: the photos and videos already sitting on your phone, in one place organised by pet and built to be opened again in five years.
Upload them as they came off the phone
Photos and video, straight from the camera roll, with nothing to compress first and nothing to pick one at a time. iPhone video included.
And find them again
Filter by pet, by photo or video, by date, by the ones you starred, or by a label you made up yourself. Text search ignores accents, so “ferias” finds “férias”.
Send the family a link
Pick the ones you want, make a link, put it in the group chat. Whoever opens it needs no account. You can take the link down whenever you like, and anything you delete leaves it too.
The location comes off at the door
A phone photo carries the coordinates of where it was taken, and so does a video — usually your home. Petzyn strips that before storing anything, and the original file is never served: what you see, and what anyone holding your link sees, is always the cleaned copy.

Questions people actually ask
What does a story cost?
Credits — and how many depends on how long the clip is and how good the drawing is. Every plan comes with a monthly allowance, and the pricing page shows exactly what each one includes.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored privately in your album, and also used to draw your pet. Location data is stripped the moment you upload — phone photos and videos carry GPS more often than people expect — and the original file is never served: what anyone sees is always the cleaned copy. Delete something and it leaves the album and any link you have already sent.
Will it actually look like my pet?
That is the hard part, and it is where most of the engineering went. Petzyn draws a character sheet from your photos first and every panel refers back to it, so your pet stays the same animal from the first panel to the last.
Does this work for my animal, or only cats and dogs?
Any pet. When you create the profile you pick from dog, cat, bird, rabbit, rodent, reptile, fish and horse — and if yours is not on the list, choose “other” and type what they are. Ferret, hedgehog, chinchilla: Petzyn draws from what you wrote rather than from a guess.
Which languages?
Portuguese and English. Stories are written natively in the language you choose, never translated — a joke has to land in the language it is read in.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from inside the app. Everything you have already made stays yours.
